Shawn Patrick Rash, 44, of Barnegat, passed away at home surrounded by his family June 29, 2022. Shawn was born June 3, 1978, in Red Bank, a son of Ellen Rash of South Carolina and the late Dallas Rash Jr. He was raised in Keyport and lived there all his life before moving to Barnegat nine years ago. He graduated from Keyport High School then went into the property remediation business. For the past several years, he was working with Insurance Restoration Services.
Shawn enjoyed working, but when he was not, he was always with his sons. He enjoyed going to the beach and fishing with his sons. He loved any time spent with them. He will fondly be remembered as a loving and devoted father, son, brother and a friend of Bill W.
Shawn is survived by his two beloved sons, Dallas and Patrick, along with their mother Kelley Wheeler, all of Middletown. Shawn also leaves behind his brother John Rash of Florida; sister Margett Budinich and his niece Bella Budinich of Leonardo; and his uncle Charles Boyce.
A memorial gathering took place July 5 at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A service concluded the evening.
