Matthew J. Ingrassia of Oceanport passed away Aug. 3, 2022, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. He was 85 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Charles and Grace (née Volpe) Ingrassia, he resided in Brooklyn for 33 years, until moving to New Jersey and wintering in Florida.
Prior to retiring in 1999, he was a securities trader in New York City where he worked for more than 50 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveled the world with his wife, Domenica.
Matthew was predeceased by his wife, Domenica (née Ullo) of 58 years in 2017.
Surviving are his son Carl and his wife Nanette of Oceanport; his daughter Lisa and Glenn of Scarsdale, New York; his brother Carl and his wife Maureen; and his grandchild Jiana.
Family and friends visited Aug. 8 at Brunswick Memorial Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, East Brunswick. Interment followed at The Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
