Barbara Farrell, 90, of Rumson, passed away peacefully in her home Aug. 17, 2022. She was born in Newark.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank O’Connor and Theresa O’Connor, her twin sister June Deo, and husband James P. Farrell. Barbara’s legacy lives on through her beloved children, Jim Farrell, Frank Farrell, Kathleen Farrell and Christina Caratozzolo.
Barbara had lots of friends – she had the ability to initiate conversation with any stranger at any time. In her early years she enjoyed gardening, progressive gourmet dinners and socializing. She loved to shop; we considered her the ultimate coupon queen.
Barbara was a good Christian having accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a loving mother who was lively and showed immense love through her actions.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26 at Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven. Barbara will be laid to rest at BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown.
