Agnes Ann Vanecek née Matysek, 104, formally of Little Silver, passed Oct. 15, 2023. Agnes attended St. Wenceslaus High School and Notre Dame Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. Agnes worked as a secretary and office manager of Lions Club International. Agnes volunteered for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas which was formed in 1903.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Vanecek and loving mother of the late Carol Ann Vanecek and late Richard Vanecek. She was also predeceased by siblings John Matysek, Lawrence Matysek, Dorothea Burns, Charles Matysek and Eugene Matysek and nephews Eugene Matysek Jr. and Robert Matysek.
She is survived by grandson Robert Vanecek, sibling George Matysek and nieces and nephews, Rita Dirhan, John Matysek Jr., Paul Matysek, Janine Young, Stephen Matysek, Patrice Brodahl, William Burns, Michael Burns, Diane Cawley, Thomas Matysek, Joseph Matysek, James Matysek, George Matysek Jr. and Gregory Matysek.
Friends could visit Oct. 19 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine’s Church, Middletown. Interment immediately followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
