William J. Goble, 73, of Keyport, passed away Nov. 19, 2023. William was born July 27, 1950, in South Amboy, a son of the late Lois and William H. Goble. He was raised in Union Beach and then moved to Keyport after graduating high school.
Bill worked at Midland Glass Company in Cliffwood for several years before securing a job at the Sears in Middletown.
Bill was a quiet man. He was happy to stay home and watch movies on his TV. He looked forward to spending time with his family, especially during holidays. Bill did enjoy going out and spending the day shopping. One of his favorite places was in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. He often sought out Coca-Cola memorabilia for his extensive collection.
Bill leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Andrew Stevenson, along with his nephew Drew.
Friends and relatives paid their respects from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 21 at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, Belford. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 22 at St. Clement Church in Matawan. The burial and committal followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Keyport.
