Daniel “Papa Murph” Murphy Jr., 80, passed away peacefully May 9, 2024, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. He was a longtime resident of Red Bank and a pillar of the community.
He was born Aug. 2, 1943, in Hempstead, Long Island, to Daniel Murphy Sr. and Mary Zino.
Daniel was predeceased by his loving parents. He is survived by his dearest children, Daniel Murphy III and Lori Cinelli; his beloved grandchildren, Jon, Taylor, Anthony and Daniel Liam; and his adoring great-grandchildren, James, Christian and Giuliana.
Memorial funeral services were held May 15 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A memorial Mass followed May 16 at Tower Hill Church in Red Bank.
