Margaret Ann Schlogl née Hagel, age 77, of Lincroft, passed away peacefully July 6, 2024, at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank.
Margaret was born Aug. 21, 1946, in Newark to the late Fred and Eleanor Hagel. She spent her early years in Cranford. She attended St. Mary’s High School in Elizabeth and studied elementary education at Kean University.
Prior to teaching, Margaret worked as support personnel at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Newark where she met her loving husband of 46 years, John Schlogl. After residing in Virginia for three years, they relocated to Lincroft where they raised their family and continued to make wonderful memories for the past 43 years.
Margaret was predeceased by her daughter Jennifer, her father and mother, Frederick and Eleanor Hagel, and her brother Rick Hagel.
She is survived by her incredibly supportive and loving husband John Schlogl, her son Jeffrey (Lauren) Schlogl, and her three grandsons, Thomas, Brady and Dylan Schlogl whom she affectionately referred to as her “raison d’être” (reason for being).
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. July 11 at Church of the Precious Blood, 72 Riverdale Ave., Monmouth Beach.
