Corinne Mayer, 90, of Shady Oaks, Middletown, passed away Nov. 17, 2024. She was born in Bayonne, raised in Elizabeth and lived most of her life in Middletown. She was a graduate of Battin High School in Elizabeth.

Corinne married her sweetheart, Jim, in 1955 and together, they raised their loving family. She worked in retail for many years at Hahne’s in Monmouth Mall. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and sewing, but she mostly cherished spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed but will live forever in their hearts.

Surviving are her three daughters, Ann Marie (Larry Cavaliere) Mayer, Theresa (Paul) Benfer,  and Christine (Bobby) Dinsmore; and two sons, David Mayer and Andrew (Carol Ann) Mayer;  her grandchildren, Jeff (Marissa) Benfer, Daniel (Cassandra) Benfer, Kevin (Victoria) Benfer, Nicole Mayer (fiancé Brad), Bryan (Kait) Mayer, Lauren Mayer, Alex Mayer (fiancé Emily), Timothy (Danielle) Dinsmore, Hannah, Matthew, Isaac and Lily Dinsmore; her great-grandchildren, Tessa and Mary-Cate Mayer, Henry, Rhue, Sophia and Hailey Benfer and Lennon Dinsmore.

Corinne was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James H. Mayer; brother Henry Kaiser; sister Ellen Kaiser; grandson Michael Dinsmore; and parents, William and Helen Kaiser.

A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Nov. 21 at St. Mary’s Church, Middletown.
