Lucille Lusk Puth, age 96, of Rumson, passed away Jan. 21, 2025.

Lucille was born in Orange to the late Charles and Mary (Cocozza) Lusk. She was one of the first females to graduate with a degree in mathematics from Montclair State University in 1950. 

Post graduation, she immediately started her career teaching high school mathematics. She married her husband, the late Edward C. Puth Sr., on June 30, 1951, in Irvington.

When Lucille wasn’t teaching or tutoring, she was out on the sailboat with her husband or spending time with her family. Lucille and Edward were married for 42 years. 

Lucille was a parishioner at Church of the Nativity. A woman of faith, she set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that led them all their lives. 

Lucille was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. Puth Sr., and her son Edward C. Puth Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Nancy Puth and Pamela Puth Bosmans and her husband Craig; her son Charles Puth and his wife Debra; and her daughter-in-law Cindy Puth. 

Lucille leaves behind six grandchildren: Angela Puth Satter, Edward Puth III, Craig Bosmans Jr., Charles Otto Puth Jr., Stephen Carl Puth and Mikaela Kerril Puth Ford. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Preston Satter, Logan Satter, Peyton Bosmans, Miles Bosmans, Noah Bosmans, Melania Puth, Lailah Puth, Edward Puth IV, Tyriannah Reaves, Pierce Otto Ford and Charlotte Lucy Ford. 

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 24, 2025, at Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. Burial followed at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of the Nativity in memory of Lucille Puth.

Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
