Emerald Anne Rempel, beloved daughter, sister, niece, godmother and friend, passed away July 31, 2025, at the age of 29, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born in Hackensack and raised in Monmouth Beach – a community she loved, especially the summer beach days, the annual Fireman’s Fair, and Lighthouse Ice Cream – Emme enjoyed a beautiful, full life growing up.

A graduate of Shore Regional High School, Emme was active in the school’s theater program and a proud member of the cheerleading team. After discovering crew through Navesink River Rowing, she went on to row competitively at the University of Miami, where she earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees. While at Miami, she was also a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She later made a home for herself in New York City, a place that mirrored her dynamic energy, creativity and unstoppable spirit. She began her career there at FOX Business Network.

Emme was smart, stunning and loyal. Adventurous and always on the go, she loved dancing, singing, traveling, snowboarding, attending every concert and music festival she could. Last year, she made it to London for the concert of her lifetime.

Not to be forgotten was her love for the famous Boots, her beloved cat.

To know Emme was to know someone who embraced life fully and made every moment count, always keeping her calendar completely full with outings, activities and dinners with friends and family.

She is survived by her loving parents, Katrine and Brendan Rempel; her brothers, Connor and Liam Rempel; and her aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind a large circle of dear friends and extended family whose lives were enriched by her presence.

Emme’s strength and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to love her. Her life, though far too short, was lived with fearless passion and grace.
