It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert T. “Bob” Kirk of Tinton Falls announces his passing Sept. 9, 2025, at the age of 86. They were by his side.
Bob was born Oct. 3, 1938, in Elizabeth. He was the son of the late Charles A. Kirk and Winifred M. O’ Connor Kirk. His brothers Alfred and Charles Jr. and his sister Geraldine Crandall preceded him in death.
Surviving is his loving wife and best friend, Janet. Together they celebrated over 60 years of marriage. Bob also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Robin Galeota, and her husband, Rich; his nephew Kevin; his niece Kristen and her two children, Kaylynn and Nicholas; his brothers-in-law, Joseph and Richard Bruno; along with many other relatives and friends.
In his early years, Bob joined the United States Air Force and proudly served the country. He also attended Monmouth College, now Monmouth University and went on to work at Electronic Associates Incorporated in West Long Branch as a production control planner/manager until retirement.
Bob enjoyed boating, fishing, the beach, bowling and being with his family. The family celebrated many happy moments together and created many fond memories. He will always be remembered for being warm, kind and caring. Bob will never be forgotten and will remain in his family’s hearts forever.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 at St. Dorothea’s Church, 240 Broad St., Eatontown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery in Marlboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bob to the American Heart Association at heart.org. Thompson Memorial Home of Red Bank has been entrusted with the arrangements.
