Norena R. Martin, affectionately known to her loved ones as Renie, passed away peacefully Sept. 25, 2025, in Holmdel after a short illness. Born Oct. 14, 1933, in Queens, Renie’s vibrant spirit and unwavering kindness profoundly touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her throughout her 91 years of life.

Renie’s early years in Queens laid the foundation for a lifetime of cherished memories and enduring friendships. Renie’s journey eventually led her to Monmouth County, where she continued to cultivate a community of friends and family whose lives were enriched by her presence.

She enjoyed a career in banking before working as an administrative assistant in the Henry Hudson Regional School library. Upon her retirement, she moved with her husband, Jack, to West Palm Beach, Florida, before relocating back to Monmouth County in 2022.

Renie was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, John A. (Jack) Martin. She is survived by her son John and his wife Karen of Freehold, and her son Michael and his wife Kim of Brick. Her role as a grandmother to Brian, Jessica, Sean and Evan Martin was one she cherished deeply, and the joy of becoming a great-grandmother to Wesley and Cooper was a blessing that filled her with happiness. Renie also held a special place in her heart for her nieces, Dawn Wunderler, Cynthia Bartley, Linda Rogers-Griffith and Donna Rogers-Doherty, and nephews Wayne, Richard and Roy Edward “Nicky” Rogers, all of whom will miss her love and affection.

As the family bids farewell to Renie, they celebrate a life lived fully, with grace and purpose. Renie’s memory will continue to inspire and guide them, and her laughter, wisdom and unconditional love are her lasting gifts to all. While they mourn her passing, they also rejoice in having been part of her extraordinary journey.

As per her final wishes, there will be no services.
