Marlene Iapalucci, 58, of Belford, passed away peacefully Nov. 26, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving friends and family. She was born in Brooklyn and, together with her husband, settled in Belford in 1988 to raise their family.
Marlene worked as an administrative assistant for EBS Construction at the time of her passing; over the years, she worked in various capacities, including as a paralegal, Realtor, and pet shop owner.
Marlene was active in the Catholic Church and served for many years as a co-leader of St. Agnes’ Youth Group; she was recently blessed to receive the Sacraments of Initiation at her parish, St. James, in Red Bank.
Marlene was an avid reader and loved music, especially country. She had a close-knit group of friends whom she called her “framily.” They enjoyed travels, girls’ getaways and spending special occasions and traditions with each other. Her favorite place was at her vacation home and the beach in Cape May, where she had lots of laughs, shared many glasses of wine, and made countless happy memories with the people she loved.
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Nicola Iapalucci; two sons, Alec and Marc Iapalucci; mother Marsha Flashburg; sister Sandi (Isaac) Braverman; and constant furry companion Georgia.
Visitation was held Dec. 2 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy was offered Dec. 3 at St. James Church, Red Bank. Burial followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
