Vicki De Noia, age 75, of Rumson, passed away peacefully March 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication and service to others.
Vicki’s professional journey spanned decades of exceptional care and leadership in nursing and health care. She began her nursing career at Riverview Medical Center as a perioperative nurse, then moved to the respiratory ICU for nine years.
Vicki became the director of Clinical Operations and Marketing for Transworld Nurses Home Health Care, where she recruited, trained and placed nurses and home health aides. She later became executive director of Staff Builders, Inc., where she oversaw sales, clinical operations and support for three offices in Monmouth County. She became the director of Nursing Education for Meridian Quality Care Management’s subacute and long-term care facilities.
She decided to return to nursing and earned her master’s in nursing from Monmouth University, where she graduated first in her class. She then began working as an advanced practice nurse in primary care in the offices of her husband, Dr. Anthony P. De Noia, in Holmdel, Tinton Falls and Atlantic Highlands.
She then worked at Meridian Primary Care, where she specialized in treating osteoporosis for the past 15 years. This was her passion. She was widely recognized for her expertise and was referred to by many providers in the area due to her leadership in managing the disease. She opened the Center for Bone Health at her office as she strove to have osteoporosis recognized as one of the leading causes of death in women.
During her nursing career, Vicki’s exceptional contributions were recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Hannalore Sweetwood Mentorship Award from the Monmouth University Lambda Delta chapter of the International Nurse Honor Society.
In 2014, she was honored with the Diva and Don Award for her extraordinary contributions to advancing health care and the nursing profession in New Jersey.
Beyond her professional life, she also made significant contributions to the community.
Vicki will be remembered for her extraordinary dedication, generosity and enduring impact on The ARC of Monmouth community. As a founding chair of the Winter Glow Committee since 1982, Vicki gave more than 20 years of her time, energy and heart to ensure the event’s success. From 1984 to 1989, she served as chair of the annual ball. She was a member of the board of directors from 1982 to 2000, serving as president and board chairman during that time.
Her passion for the mission, attention to detail and unwavering commitment helped shape the Winter Glow Ball into the meaningful, cherished tradition it is today. Her legacy of service and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Outside of her nursing and community service, Vicki found her greatest joy at her beach house in Cape May, which she called her “happy place.” She cherished her time spent there with her husband Tony, her family, and her beloved dog Baxter.
Vicki will be remembered for her warmth, strength, generosity and unwavering dedication to helping others. Her legacy lives in the countless lives she touched, the comfort she provided, and the example she set for future healthcare professionals. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all whose lives she touched.
Vicki is survived by her loving husband, Anthony; her stepson, Chris; her grandson, Michael and his wife, Karson; and her nieces, Danielle and Lauren, who were an important part of her life. She is also survived by her siblings, Peter, Ricci and Jere, and her aunts Vi and Dorothy.
