Peter John Wilson, age 82, of Newark, Delaware, passed away May 2, 2026.

Born April 11, 1944, in New York, New York, he was a son of the late John Warner and Marion (Buleau) Wilson. Peter proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He made his career as the vice president of marketing at a pharmaceutical company. Peter also enjoyed being the owner of The Parrot, a deli in Highlands, for over 10 years.

An avid sports fan, Peter loved watching basketball and baseball. He had a passion for music and loved to sing. His wit, charm and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Anne (Halka) Wilson. He is survived by his sons, Matthew Wilson (Mallory Arnold) and Daniel Wilson (Lisa), and grandchildren, Maxwell Wilson, Nathaniel Wilson, Lilith Wilson, Isla Wilson, Theodore Wilson and Ivy Wilson.

A committal service was held May 12 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
