Iris Spindell, age 88, of Freehold, passed away July 4, 2026, at her home. She was born July 26, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York.
Iris worked as a budget analyst for the Department of Defense at Fort Monmouth in Eatontown.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Spindell and sister, Natalie Lipkin.
Surviving are her son George Spindell and his wife Aliza; daughter Susan Futterman and her husband Jay; grandchildren Marisa, Matthew, David and Jacob; and great-grandchildren Hudson and Callan.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. An entombment immediately followed at Mount Sinai Cemetery, Morganville. Shiva was observed at the late residence after the entombment and July 8.
