Over the Columbus Day weekend, Peninsula Soccer Club sent three teams to the SAC United Premier Soccer Tournament in Maryland.
Making the trip down I-95 were the U10 Boys Real Eagles, U-11 Girls Regal Eagles and the U-12 Boys United Eagles. Over the course of the weekend, the three Peninsula teams put together a 9-1-1 record.
The Real Eagles made it to the finals by giving up only one goal over three games, but lost a nail-biter 1-0 to Potomac, Md.
The U12 United Eagles, finished the tournament as the overall Champions in the Elite Division by beating the Bel Air Blue Devils of Maryland 3-0.
Peninsula Soccer is affiliated with the New Jersey State Youth Soccer Association (NJYSA), U.S. Club Soccer, the U.S. Youth Soccer Association and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (F.I.F.A.). As a member of the Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association, the Peninsula Soccer teams compete in the Central Jersey Maps and MOSA Leagues.
