Alan Bruce Washburn was born July 1, 1931, in Westfield and passed away Sept. 19, 2021.
After graduating from Gettysburg College, Alan was commissioned as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Shortly thereafter he married Barbara Brokaw and he received a compassionate discharge from service following the birth of their first child.
