Alan Cosenza, 72, of Port Monmouth, died peacefully surrounded by love and family Aug. 12, 2022. He was born in Brooklyn and lived in Port Monmouth for 26 years.
“Chicago” Al loved nothing more than spending time with his family, golfing, cooking and making people laugh. Being Italian, nightly dinners were a staple for family and friends, where he always served as the executive chef, never needing a recipe. His BBQs were legendary, with the last course typically being served at midnight.
Every Sunday you would find Al on the golf course with his buddies. He was Aces.
Al has made a lasting impression on the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Surviving are his loving wife Tracy of 29 years, son Thomas (Jennifer), and daughter Bridget (Tommy); siblings Ronnie (Joe), Joanna, Patricia (Tom), Mickey, Jack, James and Donnie; grandchildren Cecilia and Christopher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and John Cosenza, and brother Eugene.
Visitation was held Aug. 15 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
A Funeral Mass was offered Aug. 16 at St. Catherine Church, Middletown. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
Arrangements are under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
