Lillian Doron Alexander, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 10. Lillian was a proud veteran of The Air Force Reserves, leaving with an honorable discharge on June 10, 1963.
Lillian was also very proud of her career as a registered nurse. She began as a visiting nurse in Brooklyn, New York, and, after receiving her bachelor’s degree, ended her career as a school nurse with the Toms River School District.
Lillian was a member of The First Presbyterian Church at Tower Hill, singing in the adult choir and teaching Sunday school. She spent many summers chaperoning the High School Hand Bell Choir tours throughout the country. Lillian was also a lifelong animal lover.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Susanne Alexander Izzo; son-in-law, Tony Izzo; and granddaughters, Samantha Elizabeth Izzo and Caitlin McKenzie Izzo.
