Alexis Marie Burns of Clarion, Pennsylvania and Matthew Adam Kurtas of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania are proud to announce their engagement.
Alexis is the daughter of Scott Burns and Angelia Cherico Burns of Clarion, Pennsylvania. She is the 2012 salutatorian of Clarion Area High School and a 2016 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Business. She is employed as a regional vice president with the Burns and Burns Insurance Agency in Clarion.
Matthew is the son of Michael Kurtas Jr. of Old Bridge and Randi Kwasnik Kurtas of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He is the 2011 valedictorian of Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School and a 2014 graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, New York. He is employed as the general manager of a privately held club in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
Sister of the bride Carina Burns will serve as maid of honor and father of the groom Michael Kurtas Jr. will serve as best man. The happy couple will wed and celebrate Oct. 5 at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania before friends and family, as Ms. Burns’s parents celebrated in the same venue 30 years ago.
The future Mr. and Mrs. Kurtas will honeymoon at the Red Rocks in Sedona, Arizo- na and reside in Shippenville, Pennsylvania.
