Alfred J. Geiling III of Avon passed away Jan. 6, 2021, at Avon Health Center. He was the beloved husband for 41 years of Brenda L. (Hurley) Geiling; loving father of Vanessa G. Lassin and her husband Chad, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, and Stephanie J. Geiling and her husband Peter Morrone of Plainville; cherished Grandpop of Leona Lassin; and brother of Christopher D. Geiling (Holly) of West Long Branch and Joyce G. Wopat (John) of Fair Haven. He is also survived by nieces Liz, Tricia, Brittany and Chelsea.

Alfred “AJ” was born Nov. 25, 1946, in Red Bank to Lois (Hackney) and Alfred J. Geiling Jr. AJ attended Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft and graduated from Boston College. He worked as a forensic accountant for many years. After college he served in the U.S. Army for six years. AJ loved fishing, golf, reading, painting and watching sports.

Bravely coping with the effects of multiple sclerosis for over 40 years, AJ became a resident of Avon Health Center in 2008. The Geilings consider the staff of Avon Health Center loving family as they cared for AJ with dignity and respect. Contributions may be made to Avon Health Center Resident Council, 652 West Avon Rd. Avon, 06001 for resident recreation use.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Burial will be in Snowville Cemetery in Eaton, New Hampshire. The Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center of Avon is caring for the arrangements. For condolences please visit carmonfuneralhome.com.
