Anne T. Mahar, 93, of Lincroft, passed away at home March 22, 2023. Anne was born in Long Branch in April 1929 to George R. Tindall and Grace Pearsall. She grew up in Long Branch where she met her husband Joseph. They were married Nov. 6, 1948.

Anne was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Joseph Mahar, her parents, and her brother George.

Anne and Joe made their home in Shrewsbury where she raised their children. Anne lived there for 60 years until she moved in August 2019 to Lincroft. Anne loved entertaining, especially having her family for the holidays. She enjoyed decorating her home. You could often find her working in her garden, spending many hours outside getting everything perfect. She also enjoyed shopping for antiques for her house.

Anne was a long-time communicant of St. James Church in Red Bank.

She is survived by her son Patrick and his wife Kathleen of Lighthouse Point, Florida; her daughter Nora and her husband Richard of Lewes, Delaware; her two grandsons, Sean and his wife Tracy of Freehold and Patrick and his wife Jessica of Bricktown; and her three great-granddaughters, Lauren, Madison and Cameron.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 29 at St. James Church, Red Bank. Interment followed at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport.
