
Antoinette M. Sileno, née Falco, 92, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully Dec. 8 surrounded by her family. She was born in Jersey City to the late Anthony and Maria Falco.
Antoinette successfully and professionally served in a clerical position at Mondi International in Carlstadt for several years before retiring in 1996. She was a former parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Jersey City where she was a member of the Lady’s Rosary Society. Antoinette loved to cook, bake, play cards, crotchet and travel. She was one of the family’s infamous “Dolly Sisters” and, most of all, Antoinette loved telling stories of the golden years and spending time with her loving family and close friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years James Vincent Sileno Jr., three sisters, Nellie, Anna and Carol, and brother Louis.
Antoinette is survived by her two loving daughters, Cheryl Sileno and Michele DeSomma and her husband Joseph; two grandchildren, Joseph DeSomma and his wife Christine and Anthony DeSomma and his wife Kara; and her great-granddaughter Lilianna.
Also surviving are her sister Marie (Larry) Goglia, her brother-in-law George (Kay) Sileno and sister-in-law Virginia (Vincent) Gulotta. Antoinette will be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
There was a visitation Dec. 12 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James R. C. Church in Red Bank and an entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
