Carole Susan Berger, 74, of Keansburg, passed away Sunday morning, June 11 in the arms of her beloved husband, Jack. Carole has been a resident of Keansburg most of her life. She attended St. Ann’s Grammar School, then went on to Red Bank Catholic High School. She met the love of her life at a tender age of 17, they married not too long after, and remained so for nearly 57 years. Carole’s world revolved around her sweetheart and her two children, John and Debbie.

Carole always had close ties to the community, especially during the years Jack ran the Keansburg Youth Association baseball.

She worked for many years at Charlie’s Deli where she mothered most of the kids in town. Then she went on to become a bus driver for Lori Bus Company, where she continued expanding her “extended family” of kids!

She loved her home, her pool and her gardens and would drive her husband crazy with continually asking him to pick weeds. She also loved to go watch and bet on the ponies at Monmouth Racetrack, as well as frequent Atlantic City and play scratch offs.

Carole was blessed with many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews, her sister Suzanne, and she was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Liebiedz and her sister Dorothy Bibaud.

Laurel Funeral Home, Hazlet, is in charge of arrangements. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 15 at Church of St. Ann, Keansburg, at 10:15 a.m. Interment will be at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown. For condolences and information visit www.laurelfuneralhome.net.
