Beverly S. Lane

Beverly S. Lane of Middletown passed away peacefully Jan. 6, 2021 at the Arbors Terrace from dementia. Beverly was born April 17, 1938, on Staten Island to Robert G. and Edith L. Shields née Larsen. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 28 years, John T. Lane, and brothers Robert G. Shields Jr., Walter C. Shields and Richard C. Shields.

Beverly relocated to Middletown in 1971. After raising her family, she relocated to Spring Lake Heights in 1993, to a home she called “Blue Shutters.” Beverly loved watercolor painting, tending to her gardens, any beach and the “boards” where she loved to walk daily.

Beverly graduated Brookdale Community College. She held many jobs, but her longest and most recent was at the Monmouth County Motor Pool. She retired in 2008. 

Beverly is survived by her loving children John T. Lane (Mary Frances), Christopher R. Lane (Lisa), Matthew F. Lane and Melissa L. Creger (Randy); and her cherished grandchildren Kathryn E. Lane, Rachael E. Creger, John T. Lane III, Tucker L. Creger, Blake F. Lane, Hunter M. Lane, Paige E. Lane, Nicholas M. Lane, Samantha G. Lane and Madison K. Lane. 

Due to COVID-19, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Beverly’s memory to Clean Ocean Action or Organization for Autism Research.
