It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian S. Nesbihal, a loving husband and devoted father.

Brian was born March 24, 1962 in Jersey City. Living in Middletown all his life, Brian worked for Straub Motors for 38 years which became Jim Curley Buick GMC.

Although quiet and reserved, Brian had a very dry sense of humor. He was an avid reader, extremely patriotic and loved spending time building projects in his garage.

Brian was predeceased by his son Luke Nesbihal in 2005 and continued to honor Luke’s life up until his passing. He was also predeceased by his father Philip and mother Rita Nesbihal, as well as his father- and mother-in-law, David and Carolyn VanBrunt.

Brian is survived by his wife Sharon Nesbihal of 37 years, his beautiful and heartbroken daughter Tara; two brothers, Scot (Carol) Nesbihal and Mark (Cathy) Nesbihal; sister Ellen Nesbihal; half-brother Philip (Terri) Nesbihal; two sisters-in-law, Sherrie Portera and Stephanie (Pat) Laberdee; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held March 22 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy was offered March 23 at St. Catherine’s Church, Middletown. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Luke F. Nesbihal Memorial Scholarship Fund.
