Lorraine M. Brown, 74, of Keansburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel surrounded by her loving family. She was born Lorraine M. Rush on November 28, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and in 1956, she and her family moved to Holmdel. In 1963, Lorraine settled in Keansburg. Recently, she had been residing with her daughter in Hazlet. Before retiring, she worked as a secretary at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft for 27 years. Lorraine loved to be around her family and friends, and when she was, she was always the life of the party.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Janet (Hayes) Rush; her brother, James Rush; and her beloved husband, Donald Brown.
Lorraine is survived by her loving children, Ann Marie Kenavan-Best and her husband, Joseph of Hazlet, Thomas White of Maine, Daniel Kenavan of West Windsor and Patricia Kenavan-Lentze of Jackson; her 10 cherished grandchildren, Lauren and her husband, Randy, Lindsay, Erin, Tyler, Ethan, Drew, Brendan, Cameron, Jaedyn and Chase; along with her two adored great-grandchildren, Shealyn and Kenley. Also surviving Lorraine are many other extended family members and wonderful friends.
