Madeline Mae Bruhn, 90, of Middletown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 20. She was born in Jersey City and lived in Middletown for 58 years. Madeline received her masters degree in education from Kean University. She was a third grade teacher at Leonardo Elementary School for 40 years. Madeline was an avid reader; she loved crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Madeline was predeceased by her husband, Walter Bruhn; and a brother, Franklin Ickstadt.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Lori (Nigel) Morris, Kari (Thomas) LePage; sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher Bruhn, Eric (Debbie) Bruhn; 13 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandaughter.
John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made in Madeline’s name to Hope for Children Foundation, Middletown, NJ.
