Stella V. Cagle, 93, of Red Bank passed away Monday, Jan. 28 with her family by her side. She was born in North Carolina to the late Fulton and Mary Hamilton.
Stella was a member of the Eastern Star and the Elks Club on Shrewsbury Avenue.
She is predeceased by her husband Chall; her sons, Willie, James, Larry and Alvin; her grandson Parrish Portee; and her great-granddaughter Nadeerah.
Stella is survived by her beloved daughter Mary Portee; and her loving grandchildren, Robert, Tamika, Shayne, Corey, Daren, Lamont, Alvin, Damian and Katrina. Also surviving are many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A life celebration was held Feb. 5 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, with a funeral home service Feb. 6. Entombment followed at Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery, Tinton Falls.
