Carla Margolis, born Oct. 12, 1944, passed away peacefully May 27.
Carla was a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and held a master’s degree from Columbia University where she was an adjunct professor for many years.
Carla leaves behind two daughters, Dawn Mazzeo and Sarah Elinson as well as two grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Noah Mazzeo and Rosanna Mazzeo.
A small service for the immediate family was held May 29 at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge where Carla will be laid to rest surrounded by those who loved her most.
Carla was a bright light in this world, a most kind and gentle woman; she will be sorely missed. Bloomfield-Cooper Funeral Chapels were in charge of arrangements.
