Carol Ann Gill, 77, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully May 13, 2021. She was born in Mercer, Pennsylvania to the late Samuel VanWoert and Madge Patterson. 

After graduating from Slippery Rock College, Carol’s career culminated in her 35 years of exceptional service in the field of quality assurance for Riverview Medical Center. Her attention to detail improved the quality of care for countless patients over the course of her career.

Carol loved spending time with her family and friends, especially during Christmas time. She loved dining out and her natural elegance and witty sense of humor made for great conversation at every gathering. Carol also loved to spend time by the water, with the beach and Lake George being among her favorite retreats. 

Carol was predeceased by her parents; her siblings David, Berta Rae and Michael; her granddaughter, Emily Tooker; and her mother-in-law, Peachie Gill. She is survived by her beloved son, George Patrick Gill (Wendi); her treasured daughters Laura Tooker (Michael) and Denise Mitchell (Jeffrey); her dear sister-in-law, Gloria Walker; as well as her eight cherished grandchildren, Abigail, Chet, Peter, Amelia, Joseph, Jamie and Dennis; and her two adored great-grandchildren, Nate and Francis.
