Carolyn L. Feist died at home April 19, 2022 after a short illness. Born April 6, 1931, in Nutley, she resided in Fair Haven for the past 60 years.
She graduated from Asbury Park High School and Trenton State Teachers College, after which she worked as a grade school teacher. She married Richard S. Feist in 1954 and they settled in Fair Haven and raised two children.
Carol was active in the community, volunteering at the library and serving as a substitute teacher. She loved the Jersey Shore and, after her husband passed away in 2008, she spent time every summer in Ocean Grove, enjoying the environment of camp meetings and gospel singing.
She is survived by her two sons, Richard and his wife Mechthild who reside in New York and Bruce and his wife Louise who reside in Ocean Grove, and her two grandchildren, Felix and Sophia.
All arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the John E. Day Funeral Home of Red Bank.
