Catherine M. O’Hern, 96, a lifelong resident of Red Bank, entered into eternal rest Jan. 16, 2021, at The Atrium at Navesink Harbor in Red Bank.

Catherine (known to many as Kate) was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School and the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown. Catherine went on to become one of the first female executive bankers at Bankers Trust in New York City, retiring in 1998 from Deutsche Bank.

Catherine volunteered for many years as a children’s catechism instructor at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Red Bank. She was also a longtime volunteer and contributor to the Red Bank Public Library. Notwithstanding her love of Red Bank, she truly enjoyed summering in the family vacation home in Falmouth Heights, Cape Cod, with family and friends. Kate touched the lives of many, including her friends and golf partners at Shadow Lake Village.

Catherine, daughter of J. Henry O’Hern Sr. and Eugenia A. O’Hern née Sansone, was predeceased by her sister, Eugenia L. Witterschein and brothers, Dr. John Henry O’Hern Jr. and Honorable Daniel J. O’Hern.

Surviving are her two sisters-in-law, Maureen H. O’Hern and Barbara R. O’Hern, and 16 nieces and nephews and their families.

A private family service will be held. In Catherine’s memory donations may be made to Saint Crispin Society and sent to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 121 Bridge Ave., Red Bank, NJ, 07701.
