The Monmouth Chess School and Club will host chess champion Andrew Ng, for a 20-board simultaneous chess exhibition at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Community YMCA’s arts and enrichment facility, 51 Monmouth Street.
Ng, a senior at High Tech High School in Lincroft, is a USCF National Master, five-time U.S. Scholastic Champion, four-time New Jersey High School Champion, member of the U.S. Team at the 2009 World Youth Championships, 2011 North American Youth Champion and a 2012 U.S. representative to the Pan-Am Games. He is a member of the U.S. Chess League professional team, The New Jersey Knockouts.
The board fee is $25 and the suggested donation for observers is $15.
All proceeds will benefit The Community YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, which provides program scholarships.
