Clara V. Miller-Davis, 89, of Tinton Falls, passed June 15 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.

Clara was born July 28, 1930 in Long Branch to the late William and Victoria Miller. She was one of six children, predeceased by Arthur, Jacob, George and John Miller; survived by one sister, Mattie Carson of Asbury Park. Clara was raised in Red Bank and graduated from Red Bank High School.

Clara married the late Billy Davis and they shared two children together, Victoria Lynn Davis and Tyrone Davis. She then moved her family to Tinton Falls and eventually devoted her life to Jehovah in the late ’90s. Clara spent most of her time working three jobs to raise her two children. She was a seamstress, she did furniture reupholstering, sold Avon, and was certified in cosmetology and cake decorating. She later obtained employment at Electronic Associates Inc. (EAI) in West Long Branch where she worked for over 40 years.

Clara loved traveling on cruises and spending time with family. She kept the family together by having frequent family dinners and this was a proud moment for her. She always helped wherever she could and loved everyone. Clara loved reading her Bible and praying for others. She loved family gatherings and laughing and it made for a lot of memorable moments. She was such a loving and caring person, devoted mother and an awesome friend to have.

Clara leaves to cherish her loving memories her two children, Victoria Lynn Davis and Tyrone Davis; four grandchildren, Shiameka Davila, Kristen Grant, Morgan Maffioli and Tyrone Davis Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Zhane’ Davis, Arielis Davila, Jayla Davila, and Miguel Maffioli; one great-great-grandson Kason Armenti; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughtful expressions of concern at this time. A special thank you to her nieces, Linda Paseler, Sharon Miller and Patricia Edwards for always being extra supportive and right by her side.

A memorial service was held June 27 at the Donato-Askew Memorial Home, Red Bank.
