Jane R. Clark, 79, a longtime resident of Middletown, peacefully passed away Oct. 29 at her son’s home in Green Township.
Jane was born Feb. 7, 1940 in Kingston, Pennsylvania, the only child of the late Margaret and John Bonawitz. After marrying the love of her life, William Clark III, they settled in Middletown. Jane was a secretary at Fort Monmouth for over 25 years. She was a member of Tower Hill Presbyterian Church. Jane enjoyed always being active; whether she was out walking her dog, shopping, spending time at the beach and pool or doing chores around the home, she always found something to do. She also enjoyed quiet time spent reading or going out to dinner with her family and friends.
Jane was predeceased by her husband of 51 years William Clark III in 2012. She is survived by three children: two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Garo Karakashian and Karen and Mike Carroll; along with her son David Clark and his companion Ludmila. Jane also leaves behind her four beloved granddaughters, Heather, Courtney, Nicole and Dana.
Friends and relatives paid their respects Nov. 1 at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, Belford, with a funeral service immediately following. The entombment and committal took place at Fairview Cemetery.
