Colleen Trainor Huderwitz, 58, of Belford, passed away Sept. 20, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Colleen was born May 21, 1965, in Bayonne. Her childhood was spent in Bayonne. In 1976, her family moved to Belford and Colleen stayed there most of her life.
If you ever visited Colleen in her home, you could tell what a gifted and artistic person she was. She loved to decorate. She made many crafts and drawings. She enjoyed writing poems and loved music.
Colleen was known for her great sense of humor, quick wit and her tough exterior, but anyone who really knew her also knew that she had a huge heart. Her family meant everything to her. She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.
Colleen is survived by her husband and partner for the past 30 years, William Huderwitz, and their son Ty Huderwitz. She also leaves behind her father Raymond Trainor; her mother and stepfather, Beverly and Joe Ryan; three sisters, Diane Read, Amy Trainor and Jodi Cocuzza; along with her stepson Billy Huderwitz, a nephew, four nieces and her best friend, Sue Bellero.
Colleen was predeceased by her stepson Matt Huderwitz.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Middletown Elks Lodge, 251 Church St., Belford.
