David Lee McKissock passed away June 2, 2023. He was 90 years old. A Boston native, Dave graduated from Milton Academy and received an undergraduate degree from Middlebury College where he met his wife Diana. They remained lifelong partners, married for 67 years.

Dave and Diana lived most of their lives in Fair Haven, where they raised their two sons. After proudly serving in the Navy, Dave spent his entire career in sales at American Flange and Manufacturing Co.

Dave was well known for his athleticism and love of sports – golf, tennis, baseball, football and, most of all, the game of platform tennis (paddle ball). He and Diana helped grow and promote the game tremendously at Rumson, Sea Bright and Navesink clubs. Dave won multiple club championships over the years.

Dave is survived by his wife Diana, half-brother Ned Brewer and half-sister Anne Brewer. He was the beloved father of David McKissock Jr. (Denise) and Christopher McKissock, and known as “Poppy” to his three grandsons, Austin (Kerry), Hunter and Taylor, and great-granddaughter Emerson.

He was predeceased by four half-siblings, Allan Jr. and Gordon McKissock, Barbara McKissock Schmidlapp and Wendy Brewer Paddock.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Friday, Sept. 22 at the Rumson Country Club. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Riverview Medical Center of Red Bank, or visit volleyfortbi.com to contribute to the Team Dave Foundation, created by the McKissock family to support Sinai Hospital of Baltimore following his son David Jr.’s traumatic brain injury in 2013.

Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
