Denise Callaway Hennessey, 70, of Middletown, passed away March 1, 2022. She was born May 16, 1951 in Jersey City and lived most of her life in Middletown.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 45 years, Edward Hennessey, and their three children, Kerri, Timothy and Kellyann.

Denise graduated from Mater Dei High School where she made lifelong friends and friendships she cherished deeply. She had a longtime career of almost 20 years helping children at Monmouth Pediatric Group in Red Bank. Denise enjoyed spending her time at the beach as she was a member of Ship Ahoy Beach Club in Sea Bright for over 60 years; she spent her retired winters at Green Turtle Cove in South Hutchinson Island, Florida. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and holiday gatherings. 

Denise is survived by her husband Edward Hennessey; their three children, Kerri and Nick Moshos of East Brunswick, Timothy Hennessey of Aliso Viejo, California, and Kellyann and Marc Nevins of Middletown; four grandchildren, Michael and Elizabeth Moshos of East Brunswick, and Nora and Sean Nevins of Middletown; three sisters, Katherine Stanley of Washington, Pennsylvania, Carolyn (Russ) Harris of Manchester, and Pamela (Christopher) Galante of Chalfont, Pennsylvania; and six nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Catherine Callaway, and nephew Michael Galante.  

Visitation was March 4 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy was offered March 5 at Mary, Mother of God Church, Middletown.
