Diana Grace Seide, 38, passed away Sept. 23, 2019. She grew up in Rumson and was a graduate of Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School. Diana received her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. After college Diana moved to Los Angeles California, where she worked alongside a talent agent in the entertainment industry. After several years on the West Coast, Diana decided she wanted to be closer to family and relocated to Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Most recently she worked as an advertising executive for a firm in Manhattan.

Diana was a creative spirit who loved reading, art, photography, food and music. She frequently attended live performances in the city and had an extensive and eclectic record collection. She was a natural in the kitchen and enjoyed bringing her family and friends together around great food and drink.

Diana was also a very loving and giving aunt, who often sent books and gifts to her nephew even as she battled her illness, always demonstrating her love of family. Diana spent many happy summers at the Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club with her family and friends sitting on the beach and swimming in the ocean.

Over the past several years Diana enjoyed spending time with her partner, Matt Morais, between their places in New York City, Texas and, mostly, the seacoast and White Mountains of New Hampshire, where Diana and Matt had planned to settle down. Diana loved New England and found peace by the ocean in New Hampshire.

Diana was predeceased by her father Harold A. Seide and her sister Victoria (Seide) Mazzucca.

Diana is survived by her mother Susan Seide (née McFeely), her brother David C. Seide, both of Oceanport, her sister Christina Seide and her brother-in-law Edward James Kuch of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, and her nephews, Henry Lawton and James Harold Kuch. Diana is also survived by her partner Matthew Morais and many loving family members and friends.

All arrangements were private and under the care of the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent in Diana’s memory to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at lls.org.
