Dolly T. Rose, 84, of Red Bank, formerly of Fair Haven and Rumson, passed away June 5, 2023, with her family at her side at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Dolly was born in Antofagasta, Chile, to parents Hernando Tamallanca and Santos Barrera.

Dolly was a devout Catholic and loved her faith. She was very active with the surrounding parishes, especially the Church of Nativity. Dolly was a Carmelite and helped organize many religious pilgrimages to international holy sites, leading many people to international religious locations including the Holy Land, Lourdes and other important locations. 

Dolly directed the yearly Follies talent show for children at the Monmouth Beach Bath & Tennis Club. She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed paddle tennis as well. Dolly also attended daily prayer groups.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years Robert, her parents, and son Paul.

Dolly is survived by her son Andrew of Lincroft; her daughter Honora Rose (Wendy Williamson) of Rumson; her beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Meghan, John Henry and Eleanor; and many adoring nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. June 8 at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. June 9 at Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
