Dolores Ann Galatro, 79, passed away peacefully July 3, 2026, surrounded by her children. She was born Nov. 1, 1946, in Montclair.
Dolores was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with her children and grandchildren, rarely missing a sporting event, school function or special milestone. Whether cheering from the sidelines or celebrating around the dinner table, she created countless treasured memories with those she loved.
For more than 33 years, Dolores worked in scheduling at Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center, where she was known for her dedication, reliability and warm personality. She took great pride in her work and built lasting relationships with many of her colleagues over the years.
Dolores was also blessed with many lifelong friendships, some spanning more than 50 years. She was an amazing friend who valued time spent with those she loved, and her kindness, loyalty and generous spirit touched the lives of so many.
She is survived by her loving children, Jacqueline Visiko-Knox and her husband, Chris; Cynthia Zaborney and her husband, Kenneth; and James Leonard and his wife, Teresa. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Taylor Gerke, Kenneth Zaborney, Madison Leonard, Aubrey Visiko-Knox and Riley Leonard, who were the light of her life and her greatest source of pride and joy.
She is also survived by her brother, Robert Carbone, and her sister, Debbie Vander Sande.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Mosley; her mother, Margaret Nolan; and her sister, Roxanne Carbone.
Dolores will be remembered for the unconditional love she gave to her family, the lifelong friendships she nurtured, and the unwavering support she showed to everyone around her. Her legacy is one of kindness, devotion and selflessness. She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories that will continue to comfort and inspire all who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. July 10 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank.
