Donna Marie Carlson, 69, of Keansburg, passed away peacefully Nov. 27, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born on Long Island and grew up in Brooklyn. She spent most of her years on Staten Island and lived in the Middletown/Keansburg area for the last decade.
Donna was an amazing mother and homemaker for her family through the years. She was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her brother Timothy O’Brien and her sisters-in-law, Margaret O’Brien and Marianne O’Brien. Also surviving are her children, daughters Dawn (Dennis) Salerno, Rachel Wright and Alexis Carlson and son Andrew (Doreen) Velez; 13 grandchildren, Daniella, Julia, Kathleen, Nina, Casey, Edward, Ryan, Natalie, AJ, Brianna, Riley, Austin and Ellianna; and six nieces and nephews, Katie, James, Michael, Matthew, Gavin and Sean.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Mark Carlson, as well as her mother Jean O’Brien and father Gerard O’Brien and her beloved brothers, Kenneth O’Brien and Jerry O’Brien.
Visitation was held Nov. 30 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy was offered Dec. 1 at St. Catherine’s Church, Middletown.
