Eileen G. Donohue, 77, of Middletown, passed away Sept. 27 at home. Born in Jersey City, she was raised in North Bergen and moved to Middletown in 1959.
Mrs. Donohue was the administrative assistant to the president at Christian Brothers Academy before retiring in 2011. She was a Eucharistic Minister and daily communicant of St. Mary’s R.C. Church. She also volunteered at the Missionary Sisters of Charity Soup Kitchen in Asbury Park.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 55 years Joseph Donohue of Middletown; her children and their spouses, Joseph Donohue and Regina of Middletown, Ellen LeBlanc and Ken of Brielle, Thomas Donohue and Peggy of Blauvelt, New York, and Keith Donohue and Michele of Monmouth Beach; 11 grandchildren, Patrick, Kyle, Caitlin, Grace, Dylan, Thomas, Antonio, Ellie, Francesco, Liam and Chiara; as well as her sister Frances Facccas of West Keansburg.
Funeral services were held Oct. 1 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary’s Chapel, Middletown. Interment followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
