Dorothy A. Citarella née Schroetter, 57, of Hazlet, passed away May 2, 2022. She was born in Hazlet, attended Holy Family School and was a graduate of Saint John Vianney High School. Dorothy lived in Middletown most of her adult life and was a secretary at Nut Swamp Elementary School for many years.
Surviving are her children, Hilary, Samantha and Anthony Citarella; mother, Elizabeth Schroetter; brothers, Donald, David and Brian Schroetter; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her father Donald Sr. and brother Thomas Schroetter.
Visitation was held May 9 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
A funeral Mass was offered May 10 at Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach.
Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
