Douglas Long, age 49, passed away June 14, 2025. He was born March 15, 1976, to Carol and Donald Long.
Doug is survived by his two beloved children, Dakota and Nick Long; his siblings, Darci Long and Donald Long Jr.; and his parents. He was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie (Long) Anderson.
Doug will be remembered for his love of music, his sense of humor and the joy he found in spending time with family and friends. He especially cherished his role as a father and took great pride in his children.
Doug’s story is one of both joy and struggle, a reminder of the power of love, the pain of loss and the strength it takes to carry on. He will be remembered for who he was before the storm and the love he gave so freely. Doug fought every day to find peace. While he ultimately lost that battle, those who knew him find comfort in knowing his pain is gone and his soul is finally at rest. The family believes he is watching over Dakota and Nick now with the same love and pride he had for them all their lives.
In honor of Doug, the family asks that you hold your loved ones a little closer and extend grace to those silently fighting their battles.
