To the Editor:
As Chair of the Finance Committee here in Red Bank, fully endorse the re-election of Council members Juanita Lewis and Ed Zipprich.
Juanita and Ed have a record of accomplishment here in Red Bank while their opponents do not.
The Lewis and Zipprich team has helped me make sound financial decisions that affect every taxpayer in our town. While they have helped brining in grant monies to support everything from the refurbishing of our water treatment plants, Green Acres and Open Space monies to refurbish the Count Basie Field to creating an historic district in the Washington Street area, Juanita and Ed work hard with passion for our entire community.
It is my honor to serve with such dedicated citizens who only want what is best for our entire town.
Councilwoman Lewis has volunteered numerous hours. She served five years on the Red Bank Board of Education helping to change the image of our public schools and in fact helped improve the educational system with Dr. Morana. She has implemented change by helping to hire five department heads this year thus saving taxpayers’ money. Juanita created the vision committee to help advance community involvement. She also made it a mission to bring Little League baseball back to Red Bank.
Councilman Ed Zipprich is a dedicated member of the Council. He rarely turns down an opportunity to serve on committees and boards. This year he took a seat on the Count Basie Board of Trustees because of his dedication to the historic nature of the theater and its contribution to the arts in Red Bank. He is an energetic person who also wants what is best for our town.
As business professionals, both Lewis and Zipprich always have their eye on the bottom line. They always remind me that we are taxpayers too and that our decisions not only affect out neighbors, but our wallets too. Together we have reduced the town debt by $2 million, ensured that our roads continue to be paved, that our water is safe to drink, that our employees remain employed and that our budgeting process is open and transparent to every citizen of Red Bank.
I urge you neighbors, to come out and vote for Juanita Lewis and Ed Zipprich on Tuesday, November 8th. Red Bank needs their commitment for another three years.
