Edward C. Dobrovolski, 75, of Atlantic Highlands, passed away Sept. 19, 2023, with his family by his side.

Born and raised in Woodbridge, to the late Edward and Anna Dobrovolski, Ed was a graduate of Rutgers University, then earned his juris doctor from Seton Hall University. He operated his law firm and practiced law in Woodbridge from 1974 to 2016 and was a longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Church in Rumson.

Always with a smile and full of jokes, Ed was a true gentleman. With his practical and logical intellect and skills, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. The joy of his presence is missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Ed is the beloved husband of 48 years of Carol née Deisler; loving father of son Bryan (Melissa) Dobrovolski and daughter Jen Dobrovolski; devoted grandfather of Bryan, Davis, Ansley and Graham; cherished twin brother of Janice (Frank) Frisoli; and uncle of Francis (Kathy) Frisoli, Michelle (Ethan) Solomon and Patricia (Kazula) Uesaka. Ed is also survived by his best friend dog, Maddie.
