Edward Hugo Rapp, 77, of Toms River, passed away peacefully May 1, 2022 in Neptune. He was born to the late Hugo and Martha Rapp in Elizabeth. He graduated from New Milford High School and Bluefield University. Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked in cataloging at Fort Monmouth, retiring after many years of service.
Edward enjoyed traveling, the wilderness and nature, animals, gardening and especially spending time with his close friends.
He is survived by his brother Walter Rapp and his wife Kathleen; a nephew Walter Rapp Jr. and his wife Stephanie; and a grandnephew Quinn Rapp.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. May 24 at the Christ Episcopal Church in Shrewsbury. Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall St., Eatontown, NJ 07724.
